Julie Larrett

I have always turned my hand to crafts using various materials and techniques, but started to work with glass and mosaics around 2000 following classes at Milton Keynes colleges.

My glass and mosaic work started as a hobby, providing gifts to family and friends. In 2012 I formally set up a business and started to sell my work and obtain commissions when I hosted an art show as part of the Bucks Open Studios.

I currently work part time on my stained glass, fused glass and mosaics, but aim to build my craft business up to full time.

I currently use three techniques to make contemporary art work;

Mosaics – normally in Pop Art style and presented as pictures,

Stained Glass – using copper foiling to make framed pictures, and

Fused Glass – fused in my kiln to make coasters and dishes.
